On one side Autobots are saving the world from Decepticons, while these robots will deliver oven pizza freshly at your doorstep. Domino’s is all set to deliver your favorite pizza via robots.
Domino’s has partnered with Starship technologies, which has created a six-wheeled robot for taking Domino’s orders to the customers. The battery-powered robot can carry up to 20 pounds of food at a time.
Let’s know more about the delivery robot.
The robot is developed by the London-based tech company called Starship Technologies, which was founded back in 2014 by two Skype co-founders Ahti Heinla and Janus Friis.
In the initial stage, the delivery will be made within the one-mile radius of the Domino’s outlet.
Last year, Domino’s has already tested order deliveries through a drone in New Zealand, which was a great step for automation.
A pre-assigned route is already punched, and the robot follows that only; in the case of any obstacles the robot takes the alternative path as it is called.
The robot can top 4mph with 20 pounds of weight on it, and there is a hot insulted case inside which keep the order hot and fresh.
This robot from Starship can also take your dog for a walk, but that will come later.
