Entering a magical kingdom where you can explore exotic jungles, sail with pirates, dive under the ocean and meet fairy-tale princesses is no less than a fantasy world. Our beloved Disneyland Park that lies in Southern California has been entertaining since generations making their Disney dreams come true.
But not everyone is lucky to get a chance of plunging into this wonderland, so here we have a few pictures that will tempt you to plan an early holiday.
It was opened on July 17, 1955.
It is the only theme park that has been designed and built under the supervision of Walt Disney.
‘Tomorrowland’ has been designed to give guests a glimpse of the future.
Over 650 million people have visited the park since its opening.
Which includes about 16.2 million guests from the year 2013.
And the plans for the Star Wars Land have been proposed which is to be opened in 2019.
Disneyland celebrated its 60th birthday, also known as the Diamond Celebration Anniversary on July 2015.
The Disneyland Park consists of eight themed lands.
Namely Tomorrowland, Mickey’s Toontown, Critter Country, Adventureland, Main Street, U.S.A.; Fantasyland, Frontierland, and New Orleans Square.
It also comprises of a number of concealed backstage areas.
At present, the wonderland occupies 85 acres approximately.
It is set to expand to 100 acres once the Star Wars land gets completed.
About the Park, Walt Disney said,
“To all who come to this happy place: Welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past, and here youth may savour the challenge and promise of the future.”
