Life of the most horrendous people in the world has often attracted the attention of public.Their mysterious nature and the frightful activities make general people curious to know more about them. Criminals and murderers who spent their lives in looting others’ happiness have experienced the bitter end of the life.
You might want to know what these serial killers and murderers said before they were executed. Their last words include a wide range of emotion. Some of them expressed their sincere apologies for whatever they did, some remembered their loved ones, some uttered the words of resentment, some inspired while the rest made a joke on death.
1. John Wayne
Between 1972 and 1978, John Wayne raped and murdered at least 33 boys, all while dressed like a psychotic clown. On 10 May 1994, he was executed via lethal injection in Crest Hill, Chicago when he was 52. At the end of the life, this egoistic serial killer said -”Kiss my ass”.
2. Ted Bundy
Ted Bundy, an American serial killer who kidnapped, raped and killed around 100 women in the 1970s. He was executed on 24 January 1989 in Florida State Prison at the age 43. Before he was sat on the electric chair, Bundy said – “I’d like you to give my love to my family and friends.”
3. Mario Benjamin Murphy
Mario, a Mexican criminal was the one among the six to kill a US officer. He was just 19 at the time of arrest and was found guilty for killing James Radcliff who was beaten with a steel pipe and was stabbed with a knife. Mario had no previous criminal records. He was arrested in 1992 and executed via lethal injection in Virginia on 17 September, 1997. His last words were – “Today is a good day to die. I forgive all of you. I hope God does too.”
4. Marcel Petiot
Marcel was a French doctor and politician who killed around 60 people between 1920-1940. He was arrested when the remains of his 23 victims were found at his home in Paris during the second world war. In 1946, he was decapitated in Paris. His last words were, “Gentleman, I have one last piece of advice: Look away. This will not be pretty to see.”
5. James French
James French was found guilty for killing his cellmate and was executed on an electric chair in Oklahoma in 1966. He was just 30 when he was sentenced to death. A moment before death, he jokingly said – “Hey, fellas! How about this for a headline for tomorrow’s paper? ‘French Fries.’
6. Carl Panzram
Carl Panzram murdered at least 22 people and raped over 1,000 during his criminal life. On 5 September 1930, he was hanged in Kansas at the age of 39. Before being hanged, he egoistically uttered – Hurry up, you Hoosier bastard. I could kill ten men while you’re fooling around.”
7. Sean Flanagan
Sean Flanagan killed two gay men claiming that he was doing good. He was executed on 23 June, 1989. During his last moment of life, he remembered his beloved and said – ”I love you”.
8. Tom Ketchum
Tom Ketchum was initially a cowboy who was sometimes known as Black Jack. His crime history says that he killed several people, but he received a death sentence for a train robbery. He was decapitated on 26 April 1901 in New Mexico at the age of 38. His last words were – “I’ll be in Hell before you start breakfast, boys. Let her rip.”
9. Clarence Lackey
Lackey, a murderer from Texas abducted, raped and stabbed Toni Diane Kumph, 20 on 31st July 1977. Police discovered the partially nude body of Toni on a road near Lackey’s house. On 20 May 1997, Lackey was executed by lethal injection in Texas. The last words he uttered were – I love you, Mom.
10. Francis Crowley
Francis Crowley killed several people at a very young age and received death sentence when he was just 20. In 1932, he was sent to the electric chair. His last words were – “You sons of bitches. Give love to Mother.”
11. Jaffrey Dahmer
Jeffrey Dahmer raped and murdered 17 men. In Wisconsin prison, he was beaten to death by a fellow inmate on 28 November 1994. The last words he uttered were – “I don’t care if I live or die. Go ahead and kill me.”
